Thomasina (Tommie) G. Satek (nee-Farias) originally of Fall River, MA, long-time resident of Tinley Park, late of Naperville, loving mother of William Joseph Satek III (Colette) and Darlene Lindsay (James), cherished Grandmother of William Satek IV, Krysta Satek, Kyle (Amanda) Satek, Ryan Lindsay (Kelly), and Paul Satek. She embraced Greg Lindsay (Suzanne) as her own grandson, was Great Grandma to Julianne and Caroline, and was joyously anticipating the upcoming birth of the first child and daughter of Ryan and Kelly. Tommie was proceeded in death by her parents John and Alexandrina Farias, and her adult siblings, John, Joseph, Mary, and Irene. Tommie worked at the Shelburne New England Shirt Company of Fall River for 18 years sewing shirts for the US military. She also worked as a hair dresser in Fall River. She met William J. Satek Jr., a sailor, fell in love with him and they moved together to Tinley Park in 1959, where she lovingly raised her family. She worked at White Meyers Cabinets and as a molding machine operator for ITW until her retirement.
She became interested in baseball watching her grandson Paul play little league and enjoyed watching the Cubs in her later years. Tommie was deeply religious and while residing in Tinley Park regularly attended St. George Catholic Church where there will be a mass in honor of her life and devotion on Thursday prior to interment at Fairmont-Willow Hills Memorial Park in Willow Springs.
