Thomas A. Roberts

Thomas A. Roberts, of Mokena, IL, died at the age of 68 at Silver Cross Hospital, New Lenox, IL, on March 22, 2016. Tom was born on July 29, 1947 in Joliet, IL, to Carrol and LaVerne (Gunhouse) Roberts, who proceed him in death. He is survived by his beloved wife Mary L. (Schleder) Roberts, who he married on June 24, 1973; his children: Tom (Jorie) Roberts of Peotone, IL; David (Heidi) Roberts of McHenry, IL; Andrea (Jeremiah) Kelly of Mokena, IL; Melanie Haag of Mokena, IL; and Megan (Robert) Smith of Manhattan, IL. He was the loving grandpa to Gabrielle Roberts; Nicholas, Alexander, Olivia, Isaiah and Andrew Roberts; Emma, Wesley, Adrianna and Logan Kelly; and Caelen and Alan Haag. Tom was the BEST big brother to Jill (Don) Smagacz, Robin (Bob) White, and Karen (Frank) Redmann and loving uncle to MANY nieces and nephews.

Tom was a life long Mokena resident, graduating from Lincoln-Way Central High School and receiving his Associates degree from Joliet Junior College. Tom was a 35 year employee of General Motors and an active and involved member of the Mokena United Methodist Church.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 26, 2016 from 1-3 PM, with celebration of life immediately following, at Mokena United Methodist Chruch, 10901 W. LaPorte Rd., Mokena, IL 60448. If desired memorails can be made to Mokena United Methodist Church.
