Ted W. Harvey

Ted Walter Harvey, age 78, at rest Wednesday June 9, 2021. Beloved and loving husband of 53 years to Patricia. Loving and dedicated father of Jennifer (Kevin), Jeffrey (Cheryl), and Jill (Tommy); born January 5, 1943, in Harvey, IL as the beloved son of the late George and Charley; dedicated grandfather of Tristan, Isabel, Kaylee, Caden, and Ethan; dear brother of Shelton (Nellie); and great friend to many. Ted served in the U.S. Army where he was stationed in Germany from 1964-1966. As a third generation locomotive engineer, he proudly worked for Union Pacific Railroad for 40 years, where he had the privilege to work alongside his brother and son. Ted’s passion for softball was shown best in the years he coached both of his daughter and as fan watching his daughters coach the next generation. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and animal lover who cherished his time he spent with his dogs. Ted was known as a prankster, who was quick-witted and a professional storyteller. He could befriend anyone; light up a room and was always the life of the party.
