Mrs. Rauch, a resident of Lafayette, was the daughter of the late Louis Bishop and the former Blanche Schneider. Shirley worked in the banking industry for over 40 years in Illinois and Lafayette, La. She was head cashier at Mokena State Bank in Mokena, Illinois. Shirley was also the office manager at Mokena Oil, a family business. She and Louis were active members of St John's United Church of Christ in Mokena and First Presbyterian Church in Lafayette. Shirley volunteered at Recordings for the Blind in Chicago. While living in Lafayette, Shirley volunteered with Meals on Wheels, the Alzheimer's Association, March of Dimes, several area hospices, RSVP, LGMC and Griswold Home Care.
She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Nelson and husband Richard, Karen Rue and husband Robert Hebert, and Kris Mattivi; grandchildren, Kerri Cochenour and husband William, Lauren Nelson, Lindsey Rue and fiance' Brent Goodyear, Hailey Rue and significant other Luke Alexius, Connor and Andrew Mattivi; great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Frederick and Christopher Cochenour; nephew, Tom Lamphere, and nieces Linda Wagner and Pam Anderson and their families.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Wilbert Rauch; parents; sister Lucille Anderson and brother Robert Bishop.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to her primary caregiver Miranda Carron, the staff of Griswold Home Care and other referred caregivers. Special thanks to her niece Sarah Lamphere for her unwavering patience this summer while assisting with her Aunt Shirley.
