Roger Allen Engel

Roger Allen Engel, 75, late of Hot Springs, AR, formerly of Tinley Park, IL passed away on August 31, 2019. He was born June 14, 1944, in Evergreen Park, IL to Roy and Irene (nee Maza) Engel. Survived by his daughter, Susan (William) Gedwill of Shorewood, IL and grandchildren Hannah and Connor Gedwill and Nicholas, Halle and Luke Engel. Roger was preceeded in death by his parents; wife, Abbie and two brothers Ronald and Leroy.
Roger was a 31 year veterean of the Chicago Fire Department where he worked as an Engineer. He loved to play tennis and cards and was a fan of all Chicago sports.
Memorial visitation Saturday September 28, 2019 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at the Vandenberg Funeral Home 17248 S. Harlem Ave. Tinley Park, IL
In lieu of flowers memorials to the American Red Cross or Special Olympics preferred.
