Robert Michael Block

Robert Michael Block, age 71, late of Frankfort, IL, passed away July 9, 2024, surrounded by family. He was born on February 10, 1953, in Chicago, IL to Ralph Fredrick and Lillian Gertrude Block Sr. He married his soulmate, Diana Block on August 4, 1984.

Beloved husband of the late Diana Block. Loving father of Patricia (Mark) Thompson of New Lenox, IL. Cherished grandfather of Aria and Harper Thompson; and a beloved grand-dog, Reese. Caring brother of the late Ralph Frederick Jr. (Sue) Block. Dear son of the late Ralph Fredrick Sr. and the late Lillian Gertrude Block.

While Robert was only able to battle his cancer for a short time, he was truly a fighter until the very end. He loved nothing more than being a Papa and spending time with his granddaughters, Aria and Harper. He was always there for them, whether he was showing them how to garden or cheering them on at their cheer competitions. He was very selfless and always put everyone else first.
