Richard A. Norris

Richard A. Norris, age 86, late of South Holland, IL, passed away peacefully September 15, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family. Richard was a veteran of the United States Army and worked as a grounds manager at University of Illinois Chicago for over 22 years. He loved nature, working with his hands, and being outdoors. He was an avid sports fan, often taunting his family with his love of the Green Bay Packers, a lover of history, and enjoyed gardening. Dear son of the late Joseph and Oddie Norris. Beloved husband of Mary (nee Canny) Norris for 55 years. Loving father of Steven (Marlene) Norris, Julie (Kelly) Norris, Kevin (Kirsten) Norris, and Kaitlyn Norris. Caring grandfather of Timothy, Daniel, Sean, and Madelyn. Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Visitation, Friday, September 23, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Vandenberg Funeral Home, 17248 S.
