Richard E. Kinder

Richard E. Kinder, age 77, late of Mokena, IL, passed away March 2, 2024, at Lightways Hospice in Joliet, IL. U.S Navy Veteran. Richard was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ in Mokena, IL. Avid fan of Butler University Basketball, Chicago Cubs, and the Chicago Bears. He enjoyed traveling with his wife Sheree and has been to 49 out of the 50 states. Richard was extremely patriotic and loved his country. Most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Beloved husband of Sheree Kinder (nee Tuttle) for 45 years. Loving father of Melissa (Blair) Timmons and Jeremy (Ashley) Kinder. Cherished grandfather of Elliott, Addison, Harper, Quinn, Edwin, Theodore, and Henry. Caring brother of Gene (Linda) Kinder and Robyn (James) Tea. Dear son of late Robert and late Betty (nee Mayberry) Kinder. Kind uncle of several nieces and nephews.
Lying in State, Saturday, March 9, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 12:00 p.m., noon, at St. John’s United Church of Christ, 11100 2nd St. Mokena, IL 60448. Interment will follow at St. John’s Cemetery with military honors. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. John’s United Church of Christ.
