Richard D. Berner

Richard Dennis Berner passed away on November 3rd, 2023 at the age of 77. Rich was a Marine Corp Veteran who fought bravely in Vietnam. Rich enjoyed a life filled with music, dancing, card games and a loud and loving family. Anyone who knew Rich knew his happy place was Florida. He was an avid golfer and diehard White Sox fan. Most of all, Rich could always be found in his favorite chair with a popsicle in hand.

Beloved husband of Lynn M. Berner nee McCormick for 53 years. Loving father of Kathleen Noonen (Gary Riley), Richard (Jennifer) Berner, Nicholas (Christine) Berner, Brian (Jennifer) Berner, Bridget (Mike) Murphy. Cherished grandfather of Connor, Emma, Abby, Lily, Jack, Brooklyn, Ava, Grace, Cash, Jack, Gavin, Brody, Max, Maeve, and Charlie. Caring brother of Marlene (Tom) Palanca, the late Marvin (Leona) Berner, Jeffrey (Aurelia) Berner, Chris (Laura) Berner. Dear son of the late Marvin Berner and the late Jean Nowocin. Uncle of several nieces and nephews

Private Family Visitation. All are welcome to the Funeral Mass, Friday, November 10, 2023, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary Church, 19515 115th Ave. Mokena, IL 60448. Interment will be Private.
