Philip H. Victor, age 75, of Mokena, Chicago, and Lockport, Illinois, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2023, at his home in Mokena. Philip's departure leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him, but his legacy as an accomplished entrepreneur and dedicated man will forever be remembered.
Philip dedicated an impressive 45 years of his life to entrepreneurship and co-founded the esteemed JV Crane & Engineering, leaving an indelible mark on the industry. His hard work, vision, and leadership were instrumental in the success of the company.
Beyond the boardroom, Philip was a man of many passions. An avid golfer, sailor, and motorcycle rider, he embraced life's adventures with enthusiasm and zest. His love for the open sea was rooted in his time as an Accommodated Sailor in the United States Navy, where he served during the Vietnam War, showcasing his commitment to both his country and the call of duty.
Philip is survived by his son, Philip "David,"& Nichole Victor and daughter, Lisa & Chris Valtierra. He is also mourned by his siblings, Sidney Victor, Donald Victor, and Lenore Victor. Philip's memory will be cherished by his eight grandchildren: Philip Eggen, David Victor, Jacob Victor, Kai Victor, Blake Victor, Emily Victor, Quintin Victor, and Christopher Valtierra.
His family and friends remember Philip not only for his professional achievements but for the love, guidance, and warmth he bestowed upon them. His legacy lives on through the values he instilled in his work and the impact he made on the lives of those around him.
A committal service will be held at 2:30 PM with full military honors on January 11,2024 at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Gary Sinise Foundation in Philip's honor.
