Patricia Ann Pignatiello

Patricia A. Pignatiello, (nee Egan), age 83, of Tinley Park, formerly of Calumet City, passed away peacefully Thursday June 5, 2014 at Silver Cross Hospital. Patricia is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Carmen P. Pignatiello: her sons, Peter (Beth), Michael (Patrice) and Carmen (Karen). She was preceded in death by her most treasured daughter Kathleen (Paul) Margetis, but is now so beautifully united with her. Patricia is also survived by her 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren, each one of them knowing how much she loved them; her sister Joan Vanderplow, her brother William Egan, dearest niece Francis (John) Rosner, nephew George (Eda) Cullen, nieces, nephews, many great nieces and nephews and several dear friends. She is also preceded in death by her parents William and Bernice Egan, sister and brother in-law Diane and George Cullen.

Patricia grew up in Chicago and worked for the Chicago Park District before marrying her first and only love, Carmen and starting their family. Described by her family and friends as kind, loving, selfless, generous, caring and lovingly referred to as “my Irish Bride” by her husband. Patricia was a beautiful person in every way. Her deep faith gave her guidance and strength. Her roles as wife, mother and grandmother provided her with immense joy and contentment. “To love is to will the good of another” and “Herself” did truly love many. She will forever be loved and thought of with wonderful memories.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Stephen, Deacon & Martyr Catholic Church, 17500 South 84th Avenue, Tinley Park IL 60487 on Saturday June 14th 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:15 followed by mass.
