Norman C. Habich

August 14, 1913 — November 21, 2012

Norman Charles Habich, late of Tinley Park, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday. He was the beloved husband of the late Wilmetta (Willie) nee Ermschler; loving father of Candy Habich (Geoff Dougal) and Kimberly Bean (Philip); proud grandfather of Dr. Lindsey Kampwerth OTD (Jerod). He was the son of the late Herman and Elizabeth (nee Zaiss) and was preceded in death by brothers William and John. Norman was a long time resident of Blue Island, IL where he operated the Blue Island Cab Company for many years. Following the sale of that business he was a successful salesman at Habich Brothers Ford in Blue Island. His last years before retirement were spent working for School District 228 at Tinley Park High School and then Oak Forest High School. He was well known as an avid White Sox fan and enjoyed following all of “Chicago’s teams”
