Michelle Lynn Maurisak

Michelle Lynn Maurisak, passed away peacefully in her sleep after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer. Beloved daughter of Rich and LaVonne. Loving sister of Rick (the late Jenny). Fond aunt of Grant, Bing, Charlotte, Evan, Jared and aunt Shell to many. Cherished niece of aunt Monie (the late uncle Bob). Dear cousin of Gery (Marilia), De (Jeff), Jackie (Rich) and the late Rob. Dearest Goddaughter of Rosemarie Durack. A special gratitude to her cousin De who helped care for her and also for Jela her caregiver from Maureen's Angels, Dr. Gustafson, Dr. Dandekar and the Joliet Community Hospice, Christine, her nurse and Sue, her C.N.A. for the compassionate care they showed her. In lieu of flowers, offerings to The American Breast Cancer Society or Joliet Community Hospice would be appreciated. Visitation will be Friday, January 29, 2021 from 3:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Vandenberg Funeral Home, 17248 S. Harlem, Tinley Park, Il. 60477. Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. John Vianney Church, 401 Brassel St., Lockport, Il. 60441 on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Family and friends are asked to meet directly at the church for the mass. Due to the COVID-19 health pandemic, there will only be 25 attendees allowed at one time in the funeral home for visitation. All are required to wear a mask in the facility.
