Melissa L. Tetlow

Melissa Lynn Tetlow of Lockport, IL, age 32, passed away Thursday February 29, 2024 at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox, IL. Born January 14, 1992 at South Suburban Hospital in Hazel Crest, IL. Raised in Tinley Park & Lockport, Melissa graduated from Lockport Township High School & Joliet Junior College in Culinary Arts. She went on to become a successful baker and shop manager. She enjoyed fishing, crafts, board games and was an avid fan of country music, attending many concerts and shows. What she enjoyed the most was spending time with her family and friends. Whether it be babysitting her young cousins or nephew, having an argumentative game night, or throwing an awesome themed party with too many jell-o shots.

Preceded in death by grandparents Thomas Tetlow, Steve and Karen Bonezek (nee Pokorny) and aunts Sharon Tetlow and Eileen Bonezek.

Survived by loving parents Richard and Victoria Tetlow (nee Bonezek); Brothers Richard (Coral), Michael (Catherine) and Ryan (Madalyne); Sisters Eileen and Kari; Grandmother Marsha Tetlow (nee Condon); Aunts and Uncles Steve (Carolyn) Bonezek, Robert (Beth) Tetlow, Thomas (Lois) Tetlow, Laura (Ron) Oresky, Brian Oliveras and WIlliam (Laura) Tetlow. Melissa is also survived by numerous, wonderful cousins, lifelong friends, her beloved nephew Jasper and soon to arrive baby Tetlow.

Visitation, Wednesday, March 6, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. until time of Prayers at 7:30 p.m. at Vandenberg Funeral Home, 17248 S. Harlem Ave. Tinley Park, IL 60477. Lying in State, Thursday. March 7, 2024, 9:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 10:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, 17100 69th Ave. Tinley Park, IL 60477. Interment will follow at Zion Lutheran Cemetery.
