Matthew J. Lukacek

Matthew John Peter Lukacek was born on October 8, 1986 in Munster, Indiana and passed away on September 9, 2021 in Bolingbrook, Illinois.

Born to Michael R. Lukacek and Carole C Lukacek (Calvaruso). Matthew was the youngest of six children. Loving brother to Dawn Lukacek Farner (Matthew T. Fuller), Michael V. (Kimberly Krivach), Mark (Sheri), Mickey and Denise (Harman) Singh. Cherished uncle to Mark V. Farner (Karen Abshire) Eric (Amanda Hallberg) Farner, Jake Lukacek, Harman A. Singh and Ananda Singh. Beloved cousin to many. Preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents, father Michael, brother Mickey and brother in law Mark A. Farner.

Matthew was a lover of many things. He enjoyed his IPad and was an avid videogamer. He enjoyed Six Flags and going to amusement and water parks. He was fond of swimming, bowling, playing bingo and bocce ball. His favorite hobby was participating in the Lansing Knights of Columbus Swim Team and multiple sporting activities and field trips through LWSRA and SSSRA.

He loved everyone. He was the life of the party! All that knew him, loved him. His smile was infectious and lit up the room. He will forever leave a lasting impression on everyone he met.

He was a friend to everyone. Matthew was always happy and loved giving to others. He was always willing to share and was generous with his belongings. He never seemed to have a mean bone in his body.

Matthew overcame many adversities throughout his young life. He was born with Down’s Syndrome and was in the NICU for the first month of his life. None of these challenges however, impacted his will to live, or affected his belief of living his best life.

He loved spending time with friends and family. He too enjoyed watching movies and singing. He personally touched so many lives in his short life. Matthew, you will be eternally missed. RIP baby brother, until we meet again in PARADISE.
