Matthew J. Greaney

It is with great sadness that the family of Matthew Greaney announces his sudden passing after a tragic car accident, on Tuesday, December 25th, 2018, at the age of 27 years old. Those who know him lost a shining light in their lives. Matthew was survived by his parents, Michael Greaney of Steger, IL, and Kathy (Couch) and Jeff Drnec of Monee, IL . Matt will be lovingly remembered by his sisters, Michelle and Amber, his brother, Kevin, his nephew, Logan, and his many extended family, and dear friends.
In memory of Matthew, a wake service will be held at Vandenberg Funeral Home, 19604 Wolf Rd. Mokena, IL 60448, on Wednesday, January 2nd, 2019 from 3:00-9:00PM. Mass will be held at 10:00AM on Thursday, January 3rd, at Saint Liborius Catholic Church, in Steger, IL. Interment will follow at Skyline Cemetery. Memorial donations will be accepted via Facebook Fundraiser, ‘In Memory of Matthew Greaney’, hosted by Michelle Greaney.
