Mary E. Szalkus

Mary E. Szalkus nee Becker, late of Mokena, IL. Beloved wife of Dennis Szalkus. Loving mother of Alan F. (Trisha) Dennison, Jennifer (Ralph) Siok, stepmother of Mark (Kim) Szalkus and Keith (Jelly-ann) Szalkus. Proud nana of Brooke Dennison, Brandon Siok, Nikki Siok, Max Szalkus, Ace Szalkus. Caring aunt of Cindy & George Bailey, Georgie & Dena Melvan, and Jack Melvan. Compassionate aunt to several Great and Great-Great Nieces and Nephews. Preceded in death by her parents Frank and Caroline Becker, sister Judy and George Melvan, and brother Robert Becker. Mary retired from Berkots in Mokena after 20 years, she loved tending to her flowers at her home in Mokena that she loved so much. Mary’s family would like to give a Special Thank you to Vitas Hospice and Georgie & Dena Melvan.

Visitation Thursday September 9, 2021, 3:00 PM until time of Chapel Service 7:15 PM at the Vandenberg Funeral Home, 19604 S. Wolf Road Mokena, IL. Interment, Friday September 10, 2021, 8:15 AM meeting at the Funeral Home for procession to Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
