Mary H. Putman

It is with deep sorrow and much love, we mourn the passing of Mary Putman, 90, of Mokena, Illinois. She passed away peacefully with her husband at her side on December 15, 2022. She was born in Amsterdam to the late Louis and Cornnelius Stoelinga. She is survived by her husband Anton, four sons, John (Tina), James, Thomas, deceased, (Jackie), Anton Jr. (Tracey), and daughter Corinne Jackson. Mary had four siblings, Matthew, Jack (Corrie), Betty (Dieter), and Erick (Sandy). She will be missed dearly by her grandchildren Andrea (Nicholas), Nicole (Mark), Blake, Alaina (Karl), Olivia (Dominick), Jenna, Justin (Alexis), Jason (Kaylin), Joseph (Maci), Joshua, Emily, Anna, Nicholas, and great grandchildren Adelynn, Theodore, and Presley. Mary also leaves behind many other family members and friends.

Mary came from the Netherlands with her family to the United States in 1956 and married the love of her life for 64 years. She enjoyed being a stay-at-home mother and was very involved in her community. She and her husband were devoted and faithful members of St. Mary's Church in Mokena, Illinois. Mary had many talents including playing the piano, creating floral arrangements, and an amazing seamstress. She was admired, witty, elegant, and could brighten up any room with her big, sparkling, blue eyes.
