Mary Jane Cahill nee Nolan age 86 late of Tinley Park, IL died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on March 12, 2017. Born June 26, 1930 in Cicero, IL the daughter of Joseph and Loretta (nee Fitzgerald) Nolan. Attended Mary Queen of Heaven School and then St. Mary’s High School. Graduated from Morton Jr. College and worked as a dental assistant. After raising her 5 children she later worked at “Stack the Deck” retiring in 1995. She married James L. Cahill on May 31, 1952 at Mary Queen of Heaven in Cicero. He preceded her in death on April 25, 1978. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother always involved in many activities. She and her daughter Colleen spent many years and happy memories in “A Place in the Sun”. She enjoyed life to the fullest whether traveling or just being with family. She never missed the annual family reunion in Las Vegas. She will be truly missed for her generous spirit, her honesty, faith, courage and of course her great sense of humor. She is survived by her children: Brian (Jan) Cahill of Underwood, IA, Maureen (Dave) Burke of South Bend, IN, Colleen Cahill of Tinley Park, IL, Brigid (Steve) Kaluzny of Joliet, IL and Patrick Cahill of Tinley Park, IL. Grandchildren: Kevin (Maggie) Cahill, Erin Cahill, Michael (Julie) Cahill, Tim (Lauren) Burke, Kelly (Brian) Stanley, Patrick Burke, Ryann (Todd) Hager, Michael Kaluzny, Megan Kaluzny. Great Grandchildren: Charlie, George, James, Lucy, Lily, Connor, Leighton, Will, Nolan with 2 more on the way. Sisters Margie Schriver and Joan (Mike) Finnerty. Brother of the late Joe. Foster sister of the late Francis Reppen. Special cousins Gerry (George) Mayer and Pat McEnany. Many loving nieces and nephews and so many wonderful friends including YaYas. Family would like to thank Dr. Albain, Dr. Goyal and Dr. Harkenrider of Loyola and especially Dr. Denise Oliveri Sulo for her kindness and care over the years. Funeral Thursday March 16, 2017 9:30 AM from Vandenberg Funeral Home 17248 S. Harlem Ave Tinley Park, IL 60477 to St. George Church Mass 10:00 AM. Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
