Marvin R. Homerding age 82 late of Mokena, IL. Beloved husband of Marion nee Senglin. Loving father of Linda (Gregg) Haimes, Scott Homerding and the late Donna (Ted) Golden. Proud grandfather of Robert (Meghan) Mercer, Daniel (Kristina) Mercer, Ryan Golden and Lisa Golden. Great grandfather of 3. Caring brother of Robert (late Betz) Homerding and Harold (late Carol) Homerding. Dear brother in law of Leonard (Selina) Senglin. Fond uncle of many niece, nephews and the late Sandra Homerding. Preceded in death by his parents Peter and Alice (nee Lorenz) Homerding.. In lieu of flowers the family requests monetary gifts be made to the Memorial Fund of St. John’s United Church of Christ in Mokena, IL. Marvin was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ where he served on the Church Council. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1951 to 1953. He was a Village of Mokena Trustee from 1971 to 1979.
