Margie Page, 102, late of Tinley Park, IL, passed on to eternal life on Tuesday, May 7th at Palos Heights Rehabilitation and Nursing Home. She was born to John and Mary Ruzich in Johnston City, IL on March 7, 1920. She married her husband Casmer Page who preceded her in death on January 2, 1943. Her daughter Mary Kay as well as her brothers John and Albert also preceded her in death. She is lovingly survived by her son Rob and Mary Kay's husband Bob and their children John (Debbie), Joe (the late Johnna), and Jeffrey (Heather). Also surviving are her Great Grandchidren Eric (Aspen), Chris, Matt, Jake, Keegan, Brock, Emma (Kole), and Jack (Sydney) along with three Great Great Grandchildren Michael, Ryan, and Hannah.
Margie grew up in Southern Illinois and moved to the Chicago area for work where she met Casmer. After having children, she became a wonderful Homemaker and Mother supporting her family in their sports and recreational activities. She was an active member of Seven Holy Founder Catholic church and then St. George's Catholic church after moving to Tinley Park, Illinois in 1980. She will be lovingly missed by her friends and family as she was always there to support them whenever needed and when they came to visit the Chicago area. Marge was known by her family and friends as a wonderful cook who would often cook items to be shared by her family with their friends and others. She was dedicated to supporting her family and always enjoyed visiting and traveling to see her Grandchildren. She will be affectionately remembered as being a wonderful Grandmother that everyone would want to have in their family.
The family invites everyone to celebrate Margie's life with visitation at St. George's Catholic church on Monday May 20th. Visitation will be at 9:00 am with the Mass of Christian Burial held immediately after at 10:00. There will be a graveside service at Holy Sepulchre cemetery immediately afterwards. The family asks in lieu of flowers that donations be made in Marge's name to Catholic Charities of Chicago.
