Margaret Cappel, age 101, formerly of Mokena, died April 13, 2018 in her home in Oconomowoc, WI. Margaret was born on March 6, 1917 in Truman,MN to the late Hugh and Mabel Krusemark. Beloved wife of the late Wesley Cappel for 67 years, being married at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa on September 28,1940. Loving mother of Sharon (David) Stuckey and Dennis (Barbara) Cappel. Margaret was the loving grandmother of Scott Stuckey, Michelle (Mark) Garrison, Blake (Mary) Stuckey, Brian (Ann) Stuckey, Mark (Viviane) Cappel and Jonathan Cappel and the dear great-grandmother of Jacob, Lauren, Zachary Stuckey; Jack, Blake, Megan Garrison; Kathryn, Maggie and Michael Stuckey; Sam, Max, Will and Lew Stuckey; and Lucca Cappel. Preceded in death by Wesley and her two brothers, Cecil and Meryle Krusemark. Margaret graduated from Truman High School in 1936, attended Moser Business School in Chicago, and was secretary at the Mokena Wall Paper Mill for 22 years. She loved to play cards, cook, bake, & have guests, and was affectionately know as Toots to her many friends and relatives, and as Bebo to her dear grandchildren. Margaret was an active member of St. John’s United Church of Christ in Mokena for over 75 years. Visitation Friday April 20, 2018, 12:00 PM until time of Service 1:00 PM at the St. John’s United Church of Christ 11100 2nd Street, Mokena, IL. 60448. Interment to follow in St. John’s Cemetery.
