Leroy Stanley Wieczorek

LeRoy Stanley Wieczorek age 87, late of Tinley Park. IL, US Navy Korean War Veteran. Beloved husband of the late Marlene. Dedicated father of Debra (Michael) Schnepp, late David, Kristy (Richard) Rompala. Loving JaJa to Kelly (Mat) Mundell, Mandy, Rachel, Nathan, Bradley, Madison Rompala, and great grandfather of Marlee and Hadley Mundell. Caring uncle of many nieces and nephews. Dear brother of Roberta (late Ross) Hagar, and brother in law to Dorothy Gaude, the late Carole Tomasevich, Ellsworth (Charlene) Ewert. Throughout his life, he brought joy and laughter to those around him, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be treasured.

LeRoy, known by many as "JaJa," was a hardworking individual who always found joy in his craft. For many years, he served as a pressmen at the Chicago Sun Times, a Volunteer Firemen of the Tinley Park Fire Department, and a lifelong advocate for the Independent Order of Foresters.

Visitation will be held Sunday, September 3, 2023, 2:00-7:00 PM at Vandenberg Funeral Home, 17248 Harlem Avenue Tinley Park, IL. 60477. Inurnment with full Military Honors will be held at a later date in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in LeRoy's name to Palos Hospice or to a charity of your choice, please omit flowers.
