Kathleen Marie Oyervides, 64, of Tinley Park, Illinois, passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox, Illinois.
Born February 12, 1953 in Evergreen Park, Illinois. She is the daughter of the late Philip A. McDermott, Sr. and Frances McDermott (nee Schofield). She grew up in Harvey, Illinois and attended Thornton High School and graduated from Northern Illinois University in Dekalb, Illinois.
Kathleen was an avid reader and gifted writer, having just completed her first book. She was a passionate and loyal fan of the Chicago Bulls, White Sox and Chicago Bears. Her patented Bears touchdown scream could be hear several counties away.
She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, David Oyervides; children Bryan and Sarah; brother and sisters, Mark McDermott, Marcia Morrey, Mary Hazzard, Patricia Sirois, Michele Loudermilk, Anne Cingrani, Therese Winter and Denise McDermott, many more family and friends and her treasured and devoted puppy Theo.
She is preceded in death by her beloved brother, Philip McDermott, and twin sister, Eileen Hawke.
Visitation will be held at Vandenberg Funeral Home 19604 Wolf Rd. Mokena, IL. on Thursday January 4th, 2018 from 3:00pm to 9:00pm.
Funeral Friday 9:30 at the Funeral Home to Saint Mary Catholic Church in Mokena, IL. 10:00 AM. Interment to follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
Her loving memory will be remembered by many.
