Karen Ann Morris, Age 58, of Mokena, passed away peacefully after a brief battle with cancer.
Karen was born January 11, 1962, in Evergreen Park to Kenneth and Jeanette (McIntyre) Hermanson. She graduated in 1980 from Hillcrest High School. Karen married her soulmate, Richard Morris, on June 4th, 1983, in Homewood. Longtime employee of JPMorgan Chase, she was a VP in employee relations. Karen loved to spend time with her family, especially the little ones and her beloved dog, Kaden. From weekend pool time with adult beverages, to her train and travel buddies, to her GH marathons with Rick, Karen loved it all and did it her way.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ken and Jeanette, and her brother, Kurt. Karen is survived by her husband, Rick; brothers Ken (Lori) Hermanson and Jim (late Sandy) Hermanson; Sister-in-law Debbie (late Kurt) Hermanson; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friend, Jen. Funeral Mass at St. Mary Catholic Church in Mokena, IL, on Tuesday, December 15th, 2020, at 10:00AM. A celebration of Karen’s life will be held summer 2021. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the following organizations that Karen supported: The Les Turner ALS Foundation, PAWS Tinley Park, and Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance.
