John J. Silius

John J. Silius, age 81, late of Tinley Park, IL, passed away on August 8, 2024. John retired from Navistar, at the early age of 52. John worked for Navistar for over 30 years and ended his career in quality control. John was an avid golfer, at which time he once hit a hole-in-one. John belonged to a bowling league and enjoyed fishing and tennis. John was a 1961 graduate of Fenger High School.

Long-time companion of Delores Cooper, Loving father of Michael Silius, Terry (Chuck) Kimmel. Cherished grandfather of Stephen (Lauren) Lynch, Brittany Friel, Jack Friel and Jacob Silius. Cherished great-grandfather to Ashlynn, Brooklynn and Madilynn Lynch. Caring brother of Gloria (late Ron) Misek, Joseph "Corky" (late Katherine) Silius and Bonnie (Geoff) Marshak-Chappell. Loving son of the preceded loving parents of Alex and Estelle Silius. Kind uncle to several nieces and nephews
