John Patrick Martin Sr.

John Patrick Martin, Sr. passed away September 9, 2022 at the age of 88. Beloved husband of the late Rose Eileen, nee McMillin and Joyce, nee Bettenhausen. Loving father of John (Jill), James, the late Michael (Carla) and Karen (John) Schelk. Stepfather to Mary Foyut, the late Diana (Jeff) Jankus and Joseph (Lori) Novak. Proud grandfather and great grandfather many; cherished Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Brother of the late Patricia (Bill) Hassett. He was a retired stationary engineer from the Chicago Board of Education. He was also a member of Knights of Columbus Dowling chapter in Brighton Park. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in John Patrick Sr. memory to the Alzheimers Association. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM until time of Funeral mass at 11:00 am at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 7659 Sauk Trail, Frankfort, IL, 60423 with interment following at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 2755 W. 111th St., Chicago, IL, 60655. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Vandenberg Funeral Home Mokena, IL.
