John J. Kerins

John J. Kerins of Mokena, IL; born in Castle Island, Ireland, passed in peace Friday, January 12, 2018 at the age of 66. John was a proud member of the Carpenters Local 141, a passionate fan of Irish greyhound racing, an avid learner, and a caring man to everyone he met. He will live on through his wife Rita, daughters, and grandchildren.  Preceded in death by his parents Jeremiah and Josephine Kerins. Survived by beloved wife Rita Kerins (Hernon); devoted father of Josie (Sean), Angela (David), Rita (Rich), Sheila (Mark), Tina (Mike), and Eileen (Daniel); cherished grandfather to Declan, Aileen, Adelyn, Claire, Keenan, Logan, Michael, and Ivy; dear brother of the late Eileen (Peter) Tangney, the late Sheila (Pat) Kissane, the late Tema Kerins, the late Tom (Joanne) Kerins, Joan (David) Browne, Liam (Ingrid) Kerins, and Jeremiah Kerins; fond uncle and close friend to many. Funeral Thursday January 18, 2018, 9:00 AM at the Vandenberg Funeral Home 17248 Harlem Avenue Tinley Park, IL to St. Mary Church Mokena for Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 AM.
