John C. Freitag, age 93, late of Tinley Park, IL US Army Air Corp WWII Veteran. Beloved husband of Lois Freitag nee Kott. Loving father of Jackie (late Tony) Trino, Ruth Ellen (late Ed) Doyle, Mark (Nancy). Proud grandfather of Samantha ( Ben) Grosche, Christopher (Lauren) Trino, Jacob Boersma and great grandfather of Ava and Madelyn Trino. Dear uncle of many nieces and nephews. Proud past Commander of the American Legion Post 615, lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church. Lying in State Friday January 12, 2018, 10:00 AM until time of Service 11:00 AM at Zion Lutheran Church 17100 69th Ave, Tinley Park, IL 60477. Interment to follow in Beverly Cemetery. Visitation Thursday, 3:00-8:00 PM at Vandenberg Funeral Home 17248 Harlem Avenue Tinley Park, IL. 60477.
