Joan Lynch, born Joanne Marcella Haltek, was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She left the world unexpectedly on Thanksgiving, November 25th, 2021, at age 82.
Joan was born on September 4, 1939. She was the daughter of Michael Haltek and Marcella Haltek (Grzogorski). After graduating from high school, Joan entered the workforce, working at the Federal reserve bank. She continued to work in the banking industry throughout her career.
Joan is survived by her first husband, Thomas Lynch and their two children, Lisa Lynch, Gary Lynch: her beloved second husband Raymond Zenner’s three children, Linda (Zenner) Neidlinger, Lori Zenner, and Michael Zenner.
Joan was strong, independent, thoughtful, and beautiful. Joan was helpful and was involved in her children’s activities and lives. She was the world’s best organizer! She was a great baker and made delicious desserts, especially during the holiday season including Polish Chruscikis. Joan loved to laugh and enjoy her family and friends.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St George Catholic Church, 6707 175th St, Tinley Park, IL 60477 on Saturday January 29th at 10:00 AM.
