Joan R. Canniff

Joan R. Canniff nee Narkus age 87, late of Mokena, IL, passed away on March 10, 2024. Joan was born on July 16, 1936, in Chicago, IL. Graduate of Maria High School. the Class of 1954. Joan married the love of her life; Joseph Patrick Canniff Sr. on May 29, 1961, in Chicago IL. They were married 49 years until Joe's death in 2010. Joan is best known for her devoted love for her family, friends and neighborhood "Garage Therapy Buddies". Her infectious laugh, spunky personality, kind, caring, generous heart, spaghetti sauce and her delicate, elegant signature penmanship were some of her best qualities. She had a love of jewelry, dogs, elephants, coffee, anything sweet and always a good time. Joan is preceded in death by her parents Joseph Narkus & Anna Narkus nee Katauskas, her husband Joseph Patrick Canniff Sr. & both sons; the late Joseph Patrick Canniff Jr., the late Daniel Lawrence Canniff and her sister Connie Skala nee Narkus. Joan is survived by her grandchildren Joseph P Canniff lll, Jack Canniff, Katie Canniff, Ryan Canniff, Emma Canniff, Sarah Canniff, Shaye Canniff, niece Patricia Diaz and a plethora of loved ones.
