Jeremiah P. Hartmann

July 4, 1926 — August 8, 2021

Jeremiah (Jerry) Peter Hartmann 95 passed away peacefully after a short illness at Clarendale Retirement Community on August 8, 2021. He was born on July 4th, 1926 to Olive Albertson and Frank Hartmann. He and his wife Marilyn were married sixty nine years before her death on September 18th, 2018.They lived in Roseland and then South Holland IL.
He is survived by his three loving children: Alan (Sue) Hartmann, Dennis (Judy) Hartmann, and Kristina (Paul) Coccaro. He also leaves his beloved grandchildren: Jeff, Jennifer, Valerie, Stephanie ,Jessica and her husband Alex Romero. He also leaves behind his brother Frank Hartmann and his sister Leona Hartmann.
In 1943 he graduated from Leo High School. He was a graduate of DePaul University with a degree in Physical Education in 1949. He earned his Masters Degree from Governors State University in 1976. He was a member of the original faculty of Mendel High School for 21 years where he taught Physical Science. In addition he taught in the Chicago Public School Playground system for 35 years and retired in 1981. He was also an active member of Eiche Turner Hall.
Memorial visitation, Saturday August 21, 2021 from 9:00 AM-10:30 at Vandenberg Funeral Home 19604 Wolf Road, Mokena, IL. Mass of christian Burial 11:00 AM at St. Mary Church, Mokena, IL. Interment Private.
