Jeanine Calleros

Jeanine Calleros nee Puerta, age 93, late of Mokena, IL and Longboat Key, Florida, passed away July 25, 2023. She was a hairdresser business owner for 40 years. She was an avid painter and knitter. Parishioner of St. Mary Star of the Sea on Longboat Key, Florida and St. Mary of Mokena. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Beloved wife of the late Jose Luis Calleros, (Pepe) for 67 years. Loving mother of Pierre (Sandy) Calleros, Anne Marie (Chuck) Jones, and the late Micheline (Terry) Hoelting. Cherished grandmother of Kristin (Scott) Markillie, Chuck Jones, Jeanine Hoelting, Katherine (Rhiannon) Catherwood, Meagan (Dennis) Hefner, and Edward (Alicia) Calleros. Great-grandmother of Archie, Grady, Daniel, Jackson, Mackenzie, Cameron, Scarlett, Tristan, Liam, and Lucas. Caring sister of Joaquin (Jennie) Puerta, and the late Emmanuel and the late Jeannot. Aunt of several nieces and nephews.
Visitation, Tuesday, August 1, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Vandenberg Funeral Home, 19604 S. Wolf Rd. Mokena, IL 60448. Prayers at the Funeral Home, Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at 9:30 a.m. to St. Mary Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be Private.
