On Monday, September 17, 2018, James A. Boskey, the most generous man in the world, passed away at the age of 70.
James was born on June 8, 1948 in Chicago, IL to William and Gertrude Boskey. He received his degree in mathematics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and went on to become a computer programmer. On July 11, 1970, he married his grade-school sweetheart, Betty Anne Sabados, and they raised three sons together: Jason, Derek, and Peter.
James had a passion for computers, and often lent a helping hand fixing his friends’ and family members’ computers after they clicked on something they shouldn’t have. He loved cooking soups and stews, which he would always make in big batches so he could share them with everyone he knew. He was also an avid music lover and a collector of Beatles memorabilia. He loved hanging out with his friends and was known for his sense of humor and being the life of the party.
James was preceded in death by his father, William; his mother, Gertrude; and his wife, Betty. He is survived by his children Jason (Denver), Derek (Ellen), and Peter (Kimberly); his sisters Mary Vincent, Trudy Meyer, and Teri Sherred; his brothers Bill, Don, and Dave; and his grandchildren Dylan, Emma, Natalie, Jillian, Erzsebet, and Alexander.
