Inge M. Markey (nee Schroeder), age 84, current resident of Mokena, passed away on Monday, November 2, 2020 at home in Mokena, IL. Born in Engelskirchen, Germany; formerly of Flossmoor, IL, and Chicago, IL. Beloved wife of the late John “Jack” Markey, loving mother of her 5 children, Lawrence (Jeanne), John, Michelle (late Timothy) Keane, Bryan (Susan), and Kevin (Stephanie); proud grandmother of 8 grandchildren; Carly (Mike) Fredericks, Jack Keane, Peter, Kaitlyn, John, Luke, Reid, and Reese; 1 great-grandchild Anthony Ayers; and dear sister of late Erika (late Hans) Dickhaus. Loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Cherished friend of many. Funeral Friday, November 20th at 10:00am for immediate family only. Private interment after mass at Saint Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Mokena, IL. Inge selflessly dedicated her life to her loving husband of 39 years; her children and grandchildren by providing endless love and support. Inge enjoyed oil painting, gardening, dinner parties, world travel, and church activities. A truly remarkable, unique woman; she will be greatly missed.
