Helen L. Priestley nee Small, age 95, late of Tinley Park, IL, passed away October 3, 2022. Beloved wife of the late Thomas Priestley. Loving mother of John (Nicole), Martin, James (Eileen), Joseph (Cathy), the late Dan (Diane), and the late Thomas Priestley. Caring sister of Br. James Small, S.J., the late John Small, the late Sr. Paulina Small, R.S.M., the late Thomas Small, and the late Margaret McMahon. Cherished grandmother of Daniel, Casey, Sean, Patrick, Tommy, Erin, Thomas, Claire, Grace, Nora, Maeve, Amy, Brian, and the late Kelly. Cherished great-grandmother of Natalie and Owen. Fond aunt to many nieces and nephews. Dear daughter of the late Owen and Margaret Small.

Helen was a 1945 graduate of Mercy High School, after college she went on to teach at Pleasantdale Middle School in Burr Ridge, IL. Helen and her husband Tom were devout Catholics and long-time parishioners of St. George Catholic Church in Tinley Park, IL. Funeral, Wednesday, October 12, 2022, 9:30 AM at the Vandenberg Funeral Home, 17248 Harlem Avenue Tinley Park, IL to St. George Catholic Church for Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 AM.
