Frank Chico

Frank Chico, age 88, late of Chicago, IL. passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 26, 2022. Best friend and husband of the late Dolorese. Loving father of Dawn (Brian) Dolan and Robin (Eric) Maddix. Dedicated grandfather "Popi" to Colin (Deanna) Dolan, Hailey (Tom) Fleming, and Kendall Maddix. Beloved son of the late Encarnacion and Juana Chico; dear brother of Joseph (Cipriana), the late John (Sally), Jesse (Jackie), and David. Frank is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Frank was a valued employee of Peoples Gas Light and Coke Company for 39 years prior to retirement in 1995. Frank played basketball at Tilden Tech High School and was inducted into the Chicago Public School Basketball Hall of Fame. Frank officiated IHSA basketball games for 25 years and umpired 16" softball for the Chicago Park District.
Visitation and celebration of Frank's life will be held Monday January 31, 2022, at 9:00 AM until time of Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 AM at St. George Catholic Church, 6707 W. 175th Street, Tinley Park, IL. Inurnment will be private at a later date.
