PEORIA – Ellen A. Brueser, 83, of Dunlap, formerly of Mokena, IL passed away on Wednesday, November 7, 2018, at the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.
Ellen was born on February 11, 1935, in St. Louis, the youngest of five children to Winfred and Marie Decker. She married Robert "Bob" Brueser on June 22, 1963, in Granite City, IL. He preceded her in death in 2016.
Ellen is survived by her daughter, Mary (Scott) Gillette of Dunlap, and two granddaughters, Kailey and Kelsey. She was preceded in death by son, Christopher Brueser, three sisters and one brother.
Ellen and Bob made their home in Mokena, IL for 52 years and then moved to Peoria in 2015 to be closer to their daughter. Ellen was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ in Mokena, IL.
