Elden Franklin Harmon

Gone from our sight but remembered in our hearts. Elden F. Harmon age 85 late of Homer Glen, IL passed away on June 4, 2017. Elden was born in New Cambria, MO on August 3, 1931. Beloved husband of Nancy nee Boze for 62 yrs. Loving father of Rhonda (Lanny) Koch, Lorrie (Rich) Young, Thomas (Phyllis) Harmon and Wendy Harmon. Proud grandfather of Shane (Teri) Koch, Heather (Jake) Herwick, Angie Koch, Samantha (Travis) Heller, Amie (Justin) Hayward, Richard Young, Robert Elden Young and David (Yolanda) Harmon. Great grandfather of Katie and Charlie Koch, Daine and Jade Jewel, Landan and Nolan Herwick, Julia and Kaeden Koch, Brooklyn Koch, Blake, Bryn, Brielle Hayward, Anthony, Brianna, Charlie, Alexis and Stella Rose Harmon. Caring brother of Sylvia (Marvin) Kluth, Floyd Harmon, Ervin (Dorotha) Harmon, Roy (Beverly) Harmon and the late Bernard (Nora) Harmon, Marie Harmon and Dorothy (John) Tyler. Survived by various nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents Fred and Fannie Harmon of Frankfort, IL. Funeral service Thursday June 8, 2017 10:30 AM at the Vandenberg Funeral Home 19604 S. Wolf Road Mokena, IL. 60448. Interment in Manhattan Center Cemetery. Elden was in the Army from 1953-1955 being deployed in England. He was very proud of his family. He was loved and gave a lifetime of happy memories.
