Edward J. Gatton Sr., age 74, late of Mokena, IL, passed away May 4, 2023. U.S Vietnam Army Veteran of the 173rd Airborne Brigade. Proud local 597 pipefitter for 45 years. Edward loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren whom he doted on. He was an avid Notre Dame football fan. Edward enjoyed listening to The Beach Boys, drag racing, and Lionel trains. Beloved husband of Judy Gatton nee Wagner for 46 years. Loving father of Colleen (Ben) McGillivray and Edward Jr. (Julie) Gatton. Cherished grandfather of Leah, Stella, and Ivan. Kind brother of Harry (Pam) Gatton and Bob (Cindy) Gatton. Dear son of Harry and Eleanor Gatton. Uncle of many nieces and nephews. Visitation, Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Vandenberg Funeral Home, 19604 S. Wolf Rd. Mokena, IL 60448.
