Donald W. Bauc, age 82, of Mokena, passed away on November 10, 2021 at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox.

Donald was born on November 26, 1938 in the house on Cora Street Joliet, IL. He graduated from Joliet Township High School. Graduated with an Associate Degree from Joliet Junior College, B.S. in Education and M.S. in Education from Illinois State University and Advanced Degree in Vocational Administration from the University of Illinois Champaign.

He was a teacher at Coal City High School, Thornridge High School and Vocational Division Head. Since 1965 he has been a Financial Director, Assistant State Executive Director and a State Executive Director of Illinois SkillsUSA. . Treasurer and Executive Director of the Illinois Foundation of SkillsUSA – VICA. He was Region 9 and Region 7 Representative of Illinois SkillsUSA. Board Member and State President of the Illinois Technical Drafting Teachers Association, Board member of the Illinois Association for Career and Technical Education, Board member and Executive Director of the Illinois Coordinating Council for Career and Technical Student Organizations. Board member and State President for the Illinois Cooperative Coordinators Association. He was known as MR. VICA.

He was a member of Knights of Columbus Council 6993. He was a Chancellor, Treasurer, Grand Knight, and Trustee at St. Mary Church in Mokena. He dedicated much of his life to the students and needs of others through the organizations he belonged to.

He met his wife Joyce at ISU and they were married for 41 years. He loved his family snowmobiling trips to Eagle River, WI. Tent camping up in WI with his girls. Driving trips traveling to visit family in Florida and Canada. He went to Aurelio's Pizza to have lunch with his friends every Tuesday. He enjoyed watching westerns, star wars and older movies. He was a loving husband and father.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Barbara Bauc and parents, Anton and Antonia Bauc and Sisters; Elvera Bauc, Rose Marie Ballenger, Antionette Zaborsky, Evelyn Fleming and Brother Anton Bauc Jr.

He is survived by Three Daughters, Susan Ronelva Lynn Bauc-Tanbour, Sherryl Annette Bauc-Sunn, Sandra Joyce Bauc-Roemer (Dave) and Nine grandchildren: Brandon Malinowski, Taylor Malinowski, Alec Bauc, Zachery Tanbour, Donald Roemer, Andrew Roemer, Brayden Roemer, Christian Roemer and Evan Roemer. And two great-grandchildren: Delilah Malinowski and Michael Tanbour.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2021; from 3:00 pm to 8:00pm at Vandenberg Funeral Home, 19604 Wolf Road Mokena, IL.
Funeral, Friday, November 19, 2021; 9:30 am at Vandenberg Funeral Home to St. Mary Church, 19515 115th Avenue Mokena, IL; Mass at 10:00 am.
Interment to follow at St. Mary Nativity Cemetery Crest Hill, IL
