Loving father of Ginger (Tom) Krol, Sharon (Joe) Bushen, Donald M. (Kim) Bakken, and Pamela (Joe) Bakken-Miller. Proud grandfather of 7 and great-grandfather of 8. Dear son of the late John Bakken II and the late Florence nee Chambers. Kind brother of Hazel Spraggins, Esther Doogan, Dorothy Stanley, and Blanche (Bill) Muffler, the late John III, the late Arthur, the late Margaret (Bill) Caldwell, and the late Anna (Raymond) Doogan. Visitation, Monday, May 8, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Vandenberg Funeral Home, 19604 S. Wolf Rd. Mokena, IL 60448. Lying in State, Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 10731 W. LaPorte Rd. Mokena, IL 60448. Interment will be Private.
