Dolores Marie Hogan nee Reis, 97, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2021, with her family by her side at Lightways Hospice in Joliet, IL.
Born on August 5, 1924, in Lewiston, Minnesota, she is the youngest daughter of Henry and Marie (Schreiber) Ries' 10 children. At 12, her family moved to Conrad, Montana. After high school, she moved to Helena, Montana, where she worked as an office clerk. During World War II, Dolores signed up for Civil Service work at the Army Air Corp base in Anchorage, Alaska where she met her late husband, Lawrence James Hogan. After the war, they were married in Chicago, moved to Oak Lawn where they met lifelong friends, and eventually moved to Country Club Hills to raise a family. They retired in Frankfort, IL, and were married for 51 years.
Dolores was a devoted wife, loving mother, and adoring grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her children: Mary Kay (Ben) Durand, Pat (the late Linora and the late Claudia) Hogan, Dennis (Jeanne Krasowski and the late Margaret "Peggy" Hogan, Leo (Gail) Hogan, Anne (Bob) Bettinardi, and Lawrence "Larry" Jr. (Kim) Hogan, 15 grandchildren, and 28 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Lawrence James Hogan Sr., sons Terence (Terry) Hogan and Raymond (Ray) (Sandra Hogan-Doerr) Hogan; her siblings' baby Ries, Leona (Martin) Klette, Evelyn (Theodore)Thesing, Andrew (Margaret) Ries, Bernette (Alex) King, Gerald (Eleanore) Ries, Mary Alice Calderon, Henry Jr. Ries, and Eugene (Mary) Ries.
