Devon Lynn Kwiatek

Devon Lynn Kwiatek, age 43, passed away unexpectedly in her home in Palatine, Illinois on February 25, 2021. She was born September 25, 1977 in Chicago, Illinois to Denise Brinkmeyer. She married Richard Kwiatek in 2006. Together, they had one son: Chase. The two later separated but remained close friends. Devon was a loving and devoted mother and cherished her time with her son above anything else. She loved Chase and he was her world.
Devon was raised in Blue Island, Illinois. She attended the Blue Island School System and graduated from Dwight D. Eisenhower High School where she excelled in academics and cross country. Devon worked various jobs throughout her life, but the most important years were that of staying home to raise her son. Together with her significant other, Chad, Devon owns and operates W Construction & Engineering Services where she manages all day to day operations.
Devon will be missed by all that knew her for her humor and charm. She was a beautiful soul, inside and out. Devon lived life to the fullest and could light up any room. She loved to spend time with family and friends. Devon enjoyed traveling, especially if a beach was involved. She was a devoted Chicago sports fan and often attended games. Encouraged by playing her Gameboy Tetris and video poker handheld in the 90’s, Devon enjoyed phone games during adulthood. She also wasn’t afraid to play a few Pull Tabs.
She will be forever adored by countless family and a tremendous number of friends. Devon will be lovingly remembered by her loving son: Chase, stepson: Charlie, longtime other half: Chad, former spouse: Rich, mother and stepfather: Denise & Dennis, father: Rick, brother: Rick Lowry, sisters: Ashley (Danny) Rolbiecki & Lindsay (Ty) Styx, 3 nieces and 3 nephews, special lifelong friend: Christina Hoffman, and cat Cupcake. Devon will also be forever remembered by numerous extended family and an endless amount of dear friends.
Her legacy will live on in those she encountered. In honor of Devon’s wishes, services will be limited to family and close friends. The family wishes for memorial contributions be made to Chase Kwiatek: Marquette Bank-Orland Park, Illinois.
