Dennis Edward Szalkus

Dennis E. Szalkus, 81, late of Mokena, IL. US Army Veteran. Beloved husband of the late Mary Szalkus. Loving father Mark (Kim) Szalkus and Keith (Jelly Ann) Szalkus. Proud grandpa of Max and Ace Szalkus. Dear uncle of many. Caring brother of Alice (Ray) Kubacki, the late Anthony (Diane) Szalkus, and the late Barbara (Bob) Cooling.

Upon retiring from a career in the Grocery industry, Dennis enjoyed time volunteering for the Frankfort Food Pantry. He was a avid fisherman and a Chicago Bears fan.

Visitation will commence Monday, December 23, 2024, 10:00 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Interment with full Military Honors at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Vandenberg Funeral Home, Mokena.
