Charles N. Hostert "Chuck" late of Mokena, IL. Beloved husband of Sally and the late Eleanore nee Meehan. Loving father of Allan (Elizabeth) (Kris Hostert), David (Cindy) and Barbara Hostert. Step father of John (Linda) Feutz, Margene (Wayne) Christenson, Kathleen (Paul) Eikedahl, Janet (Ted) Ziegler and Peggy (John) Ryan. Proud grandfather of Megan (Marc) Bucklin, Nicholas (Samantha) Ashleigh, Heather (Craig) Whitney, Laura (Dave) Kral, Andrea (Christopher) Shepherd, Steve (Stefanie) Christenson, Eric (Monique) Ziegler, Brent (Erin) Ryan, Jessica (Matt) Piske, Scott (Britney) Ziegler, Chad Ryan, Blake Ryan and the late Erin Eikedahl. Great grandfather of 12. Caring brother of Bernice Haag, Norma Boyce and the late Eleanor Reaney and Arthur Hostert. Preceded in death by his parents Barney and Viola Hostert. Chuck was a life long Mokena resident, having served on the village board. He spent his entire career at the Chicago Airports, 38 yrs with United Airlines. He started as an aircraft mechanic and worked many years as the Manager of Maintenance for United. Served in the Army Air Force during WWII. He loved flying as a private pilot and was an avid auto race fan. He competed as a driver in the 40's and 50's. His latest hobby was building and flying radio control planes and was a member of the Suburban Aero Club of Chicago.
