Charles Rouque Chavez

Charles Rouque Chavez, age 74, late of Hammond, IN, passed away March 13, 2025. He was a U.S Army Veteran. Charles doted over all of his animals and enjoyed taking care of them. He loved to dance, read, ride his bike, and cook.

Beloved father of Gina Lisa Clay and the late Nicole Marie Chavez. Loving former husband of Cecilia Chavez (nee Rodriguez). Caring brother of Margaret Mary North. Cherished brother-in-law of the late Patrick North. Kind uncle and great-uncle to many. Dear son of the late Leonard and the late Phoebe Chavez (nee Kilgore).

Per the family’s wishes there will be no visitation, or services. Cremation rites entrusted in Vandenberg Funeral Home in Mokena, IL. Interment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
