Beverly Ann Henderson, 83, of Frankfort, IL, passed away peacefully in her home Monday, December 31, 2018. Beverly was a long time resident of Frankfort, IL, and Detroit Lakes, MN. Beverly was devoted to her family and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her fondest memory as a child was dancing on the feet of her older sister Dorothy's husband, James Corbin, who recently celebrated his 100th birthday. She was the daughter of Bernice and Oscar Carlson, Fargo, N.D. Beverly was proud of her Norwegian heritage and enjoyed Norwegian customs and researching her family's genealogy. Interestingly, she began her career working for the US Government, National Security Agency and the Department of the Navy, where she met her husband, Wayne, who was a marine. After relocating to Frankfort she was employed by the Franciscan Sisters of the Sacred Heart where she ultimately retired after many years of service. Beverly is survived by her loving husband, Wayne; devoted daughter and son, Lori (Winston) and Mark. She leaves behind her grandchildren, Lauren Boyle, Jonathon Bedford, and Tori Henderson as well as her great grandchildren, Declan and Isabella Boyle, and many loving nieces and nephews. Visitation gathering Saturday January 12, 2019, 2:00-5:00 PM at the Vandenberg Funeral Home 19604 S. Wolf Road. Mokena, IL. Interment will take place in private in Fargo, North Dakota.
