Arthur E. Benson Jr., age 95, late of Mokena, IL, passed away March 12, 2023. U.S. Army Veteran. Lifetime parishioner of St. John’s United Church of Christ in Mokena, IL. Arthur enjoyed fishing, photography, and music. He worked for Mokena Wallpaper Mill for 50+ years. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy Benson. Loving father of Laurene “Laurie” Benson-Tomaska. Caring grandfather of Kristin (Pete) Anaya and Justin (Amber) Tomaska. Caring great-grandfather of Alexandria, Mason, and Rhett. Cherished brother of Carrol (late Bill) Lankenau and late Kenneth (late Evelyn) Benson. Dear son of the late Ida and Arthur Benson Sr. Cherished stepbrother of the late Fremont (Helen) and late Kenneth (late Vera) Warning. Loving uncle of several nieces and nephews. Lying in State, Thursday, March 16, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. at St. John’s United Church of Christ, 11100 2nd St. Mokena, IL 60448.
