Anthony "Tony" Freapane lived a life defined by generosity, hard work, and an unwavering love for his family. Born on March 10, 1926, Tony was a proud World War II veteran, serving as an Army Rifleman with courage and dedication. After his service, he continued his hardworking ways as a truck driver, known for his reliability and strong work ethic.
Tony was a good-hearted man who quietly made a difference in the lives of others. He was known for his generous spirit, often giving away his own belongings to those in need without seeking recognition. His acts of kindness were as genuine as his friendly nature, leaving a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
His passion for antique cars was unmatched. Tony loved collecting and restoring them, taking pride in every detail. Every October, he could be found in Indiana at the Newport Hill Climb, where his competitive spirit shined as he did whatever it took to ensure a victory.
Above all, Tony was a devoted family man. He was married to the love of his life, Stella Spicola, who passed away on November 20, 2013. Their bond was unbreakable, and Tony carried her love in his heart every day until he was reunited with her in heaven.
Tony leaves behind cherished memories with his daughters, Pamela Lopez and her husband Paul, and Marie Modrich and her husband Kevin. His grandchildren, Austin, Jeanine, Kelly, and Carolyn, were his pride and joy, carrying forward his legacy of kindness, hard work, and love. Fond uncle of several nieces and nephews.
He now joins his beloved Stella and his parents in heaven, finding peace alongside them. Tony’s generous spirit, boundless love, and passion for life will be remembered by all who were blessed to know him. His memory will live on in the lives he touched, the kindness he quietly spread, and the roar of an antique engine climbing a hill in his honor.
Rest in peace, Tony. Your legacy of love and generosity will never be forgotten.
